Elections for 2010 CSA E-Board!
posted Arpil 16, 2009

At long last, the much anticipated Election Day for CSA E-Board is here. Many have worked hard on their speeches so as to convince their fellow CSA members to vote for them. Everyone turned up looking their best, in hopes of creating a good first impression. And so begins the elections. Everyone who was running for a position were allowed to give a 5 minute speech about why they should be elected in terms of personal experience, time management skills, plans for the future, and how much confidence voters have for them. Competition was tough as many people with potential were running this time. But through such intense competition, the following members have succeeded in being elected:

President -- Michael Chen
Vice President -- Frances Wang
Business Manager -- Victor Vuong
Secretary -- Lynna Gu
Publicity Coordinator -- Brian Ho
Senior Senator -- Di Pan
Junior Senator -- Chae-Ri Han
Sophomore Senator -- Ricky Li
Congratulations to the new CSA E-Board and thank you all for coming to support in the elections!

Happy Chinese New Year! We will be celebrating the year of the ox with our annual China Nite show and dinner catered by Shanghai Restaurant. Members of CSA and the UR community have been hard at work since October, so please come out to support us and to explore a new culture! Features of this year's show include a children's performance by the Chinese Dance Company of Rochester, singing by the students of CHI 102, 114, 152, and 203, Traditional Fan and Ribbon dances, and Modern dances. Tickets for the show are $5 for UR students, $6 for UR community, and $7 for the general public and can be purchased at the Common Market or at the Door.

Check out the Events Calendar for dates, times, and descriptions of our Asian Culture Awareness Week events, including Movie Nite and the Art, Games, and Literature Fair. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
