The 2004 Buffalo tournament, run by Rochester's own Katie Baxter-Kauf, was the first tournament for many of UR's new novices. This event included Johanna Smith having to debate without a partner at her first tournament ever, as well as two early morning trips form Rochester to Buffalo, but somehow, everyone made it through unscathed.
