After starting the season with ADA (American Debate Association) and northeast regional tournaments, the U of R sent two teams to Lexington, KY for its first appearance of the season at a national circuit debate tournament. In an event featuring many of the nation's best debaters, the URDU team of Brittany Carter and Buddy Khan finished 3-5, while the duo of Michael Gunther and Ben Wittwer went 2-6.
