Since its establishment, Delta Sigma Theta has clearly established itself as a public service organization that strives to confront the problems of African Americans and, hence, all Americans. A wide range of programs addressing education, health, international development, and strengthening of the African American family have emerged and evolved over the years. In realizing its mission, Delta Sigma Theta provides an extensive array of public service through its Five-Point Program Thrust:

HIV/AIDSAwareness Program developed to enhance the awareness of this deadly disease and educate college students on how to take preventative measures aginst the disease. Brother and Sister Forum A program annually held in conjunction with the Mu Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. to bring students together and discuss current issues that are affecting them. Sister to Sister Forum/Annual Ladies Sleepover Annual events held to develop and enhance the bonds between women. Topics of any nature, that may affect women are discussed. Home Away from Home Dinner Since there are times when students are unable to go home for Thanksgiving, we prepare food for them. This allows them to have a sense of home while still on campus.
