The Epsilon Tau chapter was founded at the University of Rochester on February 2, 1991. The Alpha class was comprised
of thirteen women: Emily Ehrenstein, Meredith Hardy, Alexandra Howells, Kaye Ishee, Tamara Kroll, Emily Kutner, Holly
Lichterman, Ann Michelini, Holly Richmond, Leah Schierlitz, Krista Schuleter, Andrea Stacey and Amy Stevenson. We
happily welcomed and initiated our most recent New Member class in Spring 2008. The Alpha Theta class brought
fourteen wonderful women our Epsilon Tau family. Visit the Meet the Members page to get to know all of us a little better.
Epsilon Tau is currently located on the first floor of the Fairchild building of Hillcourt, suites 110, 120 and 130.
We are proud to call ourselves a diverse group of women devoted to academic excellence, volunteering, leadership, and
social involvement. Spending time together is one of our favorite things, whether it be getting coffee at Starbucks,
attending class together, studying in the library, grabbing dinner both on and off campus, or just sitting and talking
in our suite lounge. We help each other through the hard times, and celebrate together during the happy ones.
Our unofficial local colors are Brown and Pink and our local philanthropy is Hillside Children's Center. We are the
only sorority on the University of Rochester campus that volunteers time and service to our sponsored philanthropy in
addition to financial contributions. Visit the philanthropy page to learn more about Hillside and how Gamma Phi
supports this foundation throughout the year.
