Scholarship is an important aspect of Gamma Phi Beta on the University of Rochester campus. All sisters and new members are obligated to keep a cumulative grade point average of 2.4 by Univesity regualtions. As a Sorority, we encourage our sisters to aim above and beyond the minimum requied and to achieve their very best. Higher level leadership within the soroity reguires sisters to keep a higher GPA to show that they can handle the extra work involved.

Sisters also have the opportunity to earn scholarships and grants to ease the financial demands of higher level education and participating in the various social, academimc, and philanthropic activities she takes part in through membership in the Sorority. The Gamma Phi Beta Foundation generously gives hundreds of thousands on dollars in aid to sisters across the country and internationally (click on the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation link at the top of the page for more information). There are also scholarships designated specifically for Epsilon Tau Gamma Phis like the Keene Scholarship in the amount of $300 per year.

Sisters with high levels of leadership, volunteerism and academic standing can be nominated and initiated into the Order of Omega. This organization is comprised of the top 3% of all Greek Letter organizations as a whole at the University of Rochester, and works to increase positive outlook of the Greek Organizations throughout campus. For the 2008-2009 school year, the Epsilon Tau Education Department has instituted a new rewards program. The Scholardollars Program rewards sisters and new members by exchanging Scholardollars for study hours! After diligently submitting study hours every week, sisters get an opportunity to spend their accumulated Scholardollars at the end of the semester at an auction of fabulous prizes! Gift certificates to popular local and national hot spots, Gamma Phi gear and accessories, and dorm decorations are just a few items up for grabs!
