Who we are...

Messages to Young People is a group composed of young people with the aim of spreading the gospel message, a story of God’s love and sacrifice, to their peers.  Its aim is to provide searching individuals with the message of Jesus Christ.  In a clear and practical manner Messages to Young People hopes to show individuals that the creator is a personal and loving God.  He wishes for nothing other than to shower his children with his love.  With the Bible as a guide, Messages to Young People wants to introduce individuals to a savior who longs to have a relationship with his children. In addition, our goal is to promote the development of communities of adventist students at public university campuses. It is through the use of activities such as workshops, community service, fellowship activities, guest speakers, and gospel concerts that it hopes to accomplish this goal.

The group was created through the desire of many former and present University of Rochester students to have a place to go where they can commune with their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. It is the desire of Messages to Young People to put aside the frills that place barriers on religious denominations and sects and focus on the living word of God: the Bible. The founders of Messages to Young People have a background in the Seventh-day Adventist faith. It is our hope that our weekly meetings, community service, and campus activities serve as a place where members of the university can openly share the promises of God.
