The Music Interest Floor
The Music Interest Floor, a.k.a. MIF, is a group of University of Rochester students living on the ninth floor of Wilder Tower who share the common interests of music and community. Established in 1976 as a non-profit student organization, MIF is dedicated to the promotion of all facets of musical activity at the University.
Many of us play instruments or sing in student-run or University groups, though this is certainly not a requirement for living with us. MIF's mission is to support and promote the University's musical community, and to that end, we organize recitals, usher concerts, and provide other services. MIF is special interest housing, which means the university has given us a permanent home and the control to decide who lives there.

End of Year
After a very fun MIF picnic in GVP and an end of semester dinner at Ruby Tuesdays, the end of the 2007-2008 school year is here. Everyone have a great summer, and be on the lookout for lots of great MIF events next year!
Weekly Jam Sessions
Mif and No Jackets required will be holding a jam session every Wednesday at 9pm in Hillside.

MIF and the RIT Student Music Association will be sponsering a UR/RIT showcase from 9pm-midnight at Hillside Cafe. Groups from both UR and RIT will be performing.
