A Taste of What It Means
to be a part of S.A.L.S.A.

Celebrated from September 15th thru October 15th, we provide you with a blow-out of events that demonstrate the impact of the Latino in America and worldwide.

Our annual fall party celebrating the independence days of our Latino Countries. This is an event you should never miss. We are always rocking the house with the best of hip hop, rnb, merengue, salsa, bachata, and spanish reggae.

Our annual spring, celebration with performances, speakers, dance lessons, a talent show, the ever-popular manhunt, and our semi-formal dinner and dance, featuring an international Latino band.

The year's most successful underground party! And it's for a good cause! S.A.L.S.A. & Sigma Chi join forces to bring the masses at the U of R together for one night of hip-hop, reggae, merengue, salsa, and house. Remember Manhattan's Red Light District.....well we've got it too.

Spring Semester at the U of R is never the same when we play manhunt. You can either be the hunter or the hunted. But in the end, only one victor remains. The champion earns him or herself a free Tropicana Dance ticket.

S.A.L.S.A. members have the opportunity to volunteer their time helping us raise money for babies all over America. This program is in conjunction with the March of Dimes. Their mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality. As a student group we help by raising money and awareness through the sale of stuffed animals, chocolates, and our year-long dime drime. We also attend their Haunted Hay Ride, and Walk America. All are welcome! Together we can help make a difference!
