Tiernan Project
The Tiernan Project was started in 1974 as a means to develop community and a feeling of continuity in a residence hall. It disbanded in 1978, and was restarted in the early nineties for a three year trial taking up the entire Tiernan dorm. After the trial period, the special interest housing system was formed, and the Tiernan Project joined.  During its first sequence in 1974, and when it first restarted for the three year trial period, the Tiernan Project was located in the Tiernan Hall Dormitory. It has since moved to the Sixth Floor of the Susan B. Anthony Building (2002-2003) before settling in its final location on the second floor of the Burton Hall dormitory (2003-Present). Over the many years, we at the Tiernan Project have established many school traditions, including the annual Halloween party, Turkey party, Quadapalooza, and our newest addition, Servicefest - where we take community service to the rest of the campus.
