Rowing at the University of Rochester is a commitment that reaps many benefits. Making friends, getting in shape, and learning valuable skills both on and off the water make crew a great experience. Additionally, the team will be elevated to varsity status as of the 2009-2010 academic year. If you are interested in joining the team please feel free to contact head coach Will Greene, men's captain Vincent Lepeltier, or women's captain Nicole Telleri .

As a team we welcome all sorts of people, be they short or tall, stout or lanky. Crew is a year round sport at UR with head races in the fall and sprints in the spring with continuing training throughout the winter. We row both novice and varsity programs in eights, fours, and occasionally pairs. Experienced freshman will have an opportunity to seat race into varsity boats if they have the skill and drive to do so. However, no experience is necessary to join the team, as most of the rowers are "walk-on's" having never picked up an oar before coming to Rochester.

Our boathouse is located just across the Genesee river a mere ten minute walk from campus. Thanks to generous support from our alumni we can boast a fine collection of eights and fours that are continually being updated as the years go by. We have an erg room available to us at the Goergen Athletic Center throughout the year.

This is a team that trains hard to win races and has a great time on and off the water. If this sounds like something that interests you please feel free to contact us with any questions.
